These are the FACTS.

2002

Grant and Jeff first played their rumbling guitar and drum sounds at a cricket club function when they run out of Neil Young covers.

Felix and Jeff team up with a few friends to put together a 60’s tribute for The Friends of the Earth Ball. (Ready Steady Go Go)

Grant joins RSGG. Nucleus of Beach Chromers emerges.

Jeff plays Felix some demos of surf stuff he has written and been jamming with Grant in the shed.

Felix joins them in the shed on Farfisa Organ and later on Yamaha electone that Grant and Jeff gleefully procure from the swap shop.

2003

The Beach Chromers emerge from the shed to play their first gigs at The Terminus Hotel in Clifton Hill and NYE at The Railway in North Melbourne.

2004

Felix hangs up his platform shoes in 70’s glam tribute band to devote more time to The Beach Chromers.

Band rehearses.

2005

More gigs. Residency at the Pint on Punt with glowing praise from Fred Negro and other Twits

Start recording first EP/single at Sound Park in Northcote with Andrew Hehir and the helm.

Launch “it came from andromeda” at Pony.

Receive a rave review from Clem Bastow in Inpress.

Start recording first album at Sound Park.

2006

More gigs. Lots more gigs.
